I am Dr. Harvey Franklin, Sr. and it is my pleasure to serve you as Superintendent of Education for the Greenville Public School District!

Upon my arrival to Greenville, my first impression was of a warm, nurturing community that, despite typical issues that are not uncommon to many communities, geuinely cares about its children.

Then, when folks found out that I was to be the new Superintendent, I heard all too many times, "Son, I'm going to pray for you." While this would have made most leary, I saw it as a welcome challenge. Guess what? My first impression of the Greenville community is still the same. We care about our children and we are committed to doing whatever is necessary to making sure they have the best that education has to offer.
